The minimalistic design of BUK is inspired by the Japanese art of folding paper, origami.

During the design phase experimenting with folded cardboard and studying the many bends and angels, was an inspiration source as well as indicator of the potential and properties of the seat. The result is a one-piece metal seat that naturally encloses the user while seated.
